Haight ashbury is the best especially if you like vintage clothes. Lots of places to eat too.

A walk back through time. Awesome place to hang out and explore the different shops.
Dillon Swartz
Happy go lucky. Great place for murals.
Chad Mitchell
Good vibes here.

Its still has a few good shops but definitely not what it used to be.

The epicenter of counterculture. If you are offended by any parts of the counterculture please just skip this as it won't be your cup of tea. But if you like flying or just seeing the freak flag flown it's awesome.

We were taken on a tour by a self-guided scavenger hunt app and this was delightful! So much history, so much stimulation for your eyes, so fun! Still a little seedy in places, but in the day time in group setting this was very fun!!

This is where I have lived since 2012 and I wouldn't have it any other way. Iconic neighborhood that has done its best not to lose sight of its roots and what makes it such a special place ok this planet.

Bucket list to come here. Not like it was when you've read about it's history but still a fun place to go! If you're in town, take some money and go have a great time!

If you go...go for lunch and sit and enjoy the area..take on the vibes.

Interesting street- not recommended for children

Lovely but I found it generically touristy. If you target a specific landmark like Amoeba Records or the Painted Lady houses it could well be worth the visit, though

It's Cool has Amazing Stores with Really Cool Clothes and Murals walk Up and Down Haight to See some Cool Art.
Antonio Piazza
Awesome historic area of San Fransisco. Don't miss it if you have any need to know where the Summer of Love happened in 1967. The hippy vibe is still present.
Amy Zuckerman
Just a very cool place for baby boomers! Loved it!
Scott Weeks
You got to see it once. Great food and a lot of overpriced shops. It's pretty cool to visit

Murals of old when the mission wasn't a yuppy hub, sniffles..the memories

Great for people watching, nostalgic, big variety of shops.

Great tourist location even if your young.

One of the most famous intersections in the world. "If your going to San Francisco, be sure to wear a flower in your hair."
Tarek Al Beb
Nice friendly people, and a lot of small shopping places and great street art.

Don’t expect it to be like it was in the 60’s. But an iconic area full of musical history, funky stores, and eccentric surroundings. Also be sure to explore the surrounding blocks filled with beautiful victorian row houses. Really cool vibe and worth the visit.

Awesome shopping and deals can definitely be found but be careful there are some overpriced tourist traps just walk the entire Haight before u decide to buy, you can always double back

This is a must do when in San Francisco. This district is my favorite. Stop at Trax for a great drink and a great conversation with the bartender. Stop at the little coffee shop next to the goodwill, amazing coffee and great staff. Be warned very very few bathrooms available. The bars have them and there is one at the park. If you use a bars bathroom, be kind and buy a ðŸ». 😉

A lot of fun, far away from downtown but we took public transportation and extremely easy to navigate. My husband is a huge Deadhead and wanted to visit and explore the shopping and see the 'House'. We went over to Whole food’s to buy lunch items, snacks and beverages. We went into the park to see the duckling! Such a great park.

Exciting to see the old hippie area

Blast from sixties and seventies with memories of Joplin Hendrix Garcia et Al. Loads of quirky stores, bars and restaurants. Plus vintage clothing like Camden without the crowds As with all SF beggars and crack heads

Nice crowded place over the weekend but good vibes

Neat area of San Francisco! We saw Jerry Garcia's house, where Janis Joplin lived, shopped and ate in this area. I would recommend checking it out. Although it seemed no where had a public restroom....odd!
Glenn Heiser
Great place to see where they hippie movement all began. A little difficult finding parking and $8 for a single scoop of ice cream at Ben & Jerry's somewhat dampened the experience.
Javier Liendo
This place is a must if you are around San Francisco. Here is where the hippy movement of the 60s was born. There are many wonderful restaurants and small and interesting shopping stores. Walking around the zone will give you plenty of opportunities to have a look to these wonderful and typical San Francisco houses.
Daniel Ritchie
Have to experience it. Get a local to explain the history.

AMAZING PLACE WITH AMAZING VIBE OF FREEDOM! I know people, who don’t like this place, but I’m not one of them. I’m in love with Haight-Ashbury, and every time when I travel to San Francisco I visit this streets. A lot of tiny and cozy shops, who offers thousands interesting things. Buildings with amazing architecture and vibe.... vibe of freedom, vibe of life, vibe of love!

Really cool to walk around. No specific place to go. There are a couple of good microbreweries around. People watching is a perfect activity here.
Jason Keller
This is where there hippy movement started and its everything I hoped it would be. Friendly people, decent prices and amazing murals and wall art all over. Definitely going to be making a return trip.
Jeff Dur
Idk what I expected but I was underwhelmed. I got more of a hipster vibe instead of a hippy vibe. Interesting history though, nice place to grab a coffee and just walk around.
Tina Morris
Hippy funky weed smelling place .
Dirty B Glass
Haight-Ashbury was really cool. To bad the city has road work going on during the day, making it very difficult to park, shop amd conduct business. It could easily be done at night instead. Several store ownerstold me it be a going on for a couple years.
Geo Ivery
Great place to shop and grab good food or a drink.
Stuart Swackhamer
Cool but weird

Exciting to see homes where Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix and Jerry Garcia stayed, if you're old enough to remember them and the summer of love. Everything was closed on Saturday morning unfortunately. Sadly lots of homeless and scuzzy people around area detract from the colorful buildings and shops.
Joshua Gonzalez
Always good times

Why would you even ask? You know or u don't. Go to Anaheim if you don't 🤔

Such a magical place to see and the feelings you get walking up and down the street

Not all I had hoped for, but was worth a couple pictures. Should have searched for the grateful dead house and Joplin's. Lots of folks lingering on the sidewalks.

Ameba is my favorite record shop. The have a $1.00 bin for old cd movies. They have a vast collection of world music.

Still here and it's ok old fashioned kind of place
